Formed in 2015, The Bede Family Foundation was created to inform students about building kit aircraft and experimental aviation. We also support aviation groups and clubs. We hope to inspire the next generation of aviation’s certified mechanics and aeronautical engineers.
Located in a new facility in Akron, Ohio, the Foundation is well-situated to provide local organizations with the guidance and technical capabilities to support their program needs.
The goal of the Bede Family Foundation is to create educational opportunities for the youth of our communities. If you have an organization that might fit our criteria please feel free to send us a one page essay, telling us about your school/organization.
Congratulations to the
Springside ChestnutHill Academy
for being the first-ever recipient of the Bede Family Foundation grant. Jim Bede and Eric Ingraham flew to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to see the delivered fuselage package and talk about the future of aviation with the students and teacher.
